WHAT IS THE HANSA POWERADE CHARITIES BATCH?

The Hansa Powerade Charities Batch, an initiative introduced by the Dusi Committee in 2003, is a batch of 60 places that are auctioned online. The advantage is that the batch leaves early every morning of the race, enabling paddlers to beat the heat of starting later! The Hansa Powerade Charities Batch is the 5th batch to leave each morning so paddlers are ensured an early start regardless of their finishing times the previous day!

All paddlers have the opportunity to raise funds for Starfish, S.P.C.A., D.U.C.T or Equal Split, and bid for a place in the batch prior to the race.  The proceeds from the Charity Batch Auction will be ditributed to the three charities according to what the bidders selected when placing a bid.

Make sure that you start fundraising early to ensure your place in the batch. Ask you friends, family, colleagues and companies to sponsor you!

How to pay for your Charity Batch bid

Payment must be made and proof of payment sent by 17h00 on Monday 18th January, failing which your place will be given to the next bid on the list.
