Thank you to everyone for your kind messages. Mum and I are missing Dad terribly, but it is truly amazing to see how many people he touched. Thank you all.

A great guy and tremendous inspiration. No words can take away the sadness of Graeme's passing but perhaps the unforgettable memories of his awesome achievements and wonderful nature will soften the blow in time. Kindest thoughts and support to Wendy and Lee.

Pope you were an inspiration, a good natured friend who helped and guided so many people with your knowledge. Your presence and influence in the valley will always be there. Your tragic passing will leave a large gap in the canoeing community. RIP. Kim.

It was a great privilege to have met Graeme, & a greater privilege to have been competing when 'The Pope' was paddling the Dusi. Always with a smile on his face, and always willing to give advice and encouragement to us 'Fish & Chips'. He was the Master, and a great inspiration to myself & all paddlers, all sportsmen & women. My sincere condolences to Wendy & Lee, & all of Graeme's family. A great man. 'The Dusi King of All Time'.

Pope we will miss you. Our thoughts are with your family now, but you will be forever remembered. So humble and friendly. The ultimate endurance athlete, south africa's greatest! Along with player the Dusi belongs to you. Though the normal fish chips can not follow your form we can certainly follow your example. Give it your all, smile and do it again. RIP POPE.
