Media Accreditation applications are now open and will close at 12pm on Friday, 13 February 2026.
Terms and Conditions
By submitting an application for media accreditation to the Dusi Canoe Marathon and associated events, the applicant agrees to the following terms and conditions.
1. Accreditation Eligibility
1.1 Media accreditation is issued solely at the discretion of the event organisers.
1.2 Accreditation is intended for bona fide media representatives including journalists, photographers, broadcasters, and digital content creators acting in a professional capacity.
1.3 Freelancers must provide evidence of assignment or intent to publish from a recognised media outlet.
2. Application Process
2.1 Submission of an application does not guarantee accreditation.
2.2 The organisers reserve the right to request additional information or documentation to verify an application.
2.3 Late or incomplete applications may be declined without notice.
3. Use of Accreditation
3.1 Accreditation permits access only to designated media areas and does not grant unrestricted access to all event zones.
3.2 Accreditation passes are non-transferable and must be worn or displayed at all times while on site.
3.3 Misuse of accreditation may result in immediate withdrawal of access.
4. Conduct and Safety
4.1 Accredited media must comply with all event rules, safety instructions, and directions from officials and security personnel.
4.2 Media representatives must not interfere with athletes, officials, spectators, or event operations.
4.3 The organisers reserve the right to revoke accreditation for unsafe, disruptive, or unprofessional behaviour.
5. Content Usage and Rights
5.1 All content produced must comply with applicable laws and ethical media standards.
5.2 The organisers may request credit attribution where appropriate.
5.3 The event name and branding must not be used in a misleading or commercial manner without prior written consent.
6. Liability
6.1 Accreditation holders attend the event at their own risk.
6.2 The organisers accept no responsibility for loss, damage, or injury sustained while attending the event.
6.3 Accredited media are responsible for their own insurance coverage, including equipment and personal liability.
7. Privacy and Data
7.1 Personal information provided will be used solely for accreditation and event-related communication.
7.2 Information will not be shared with third parties except where required for event operations or by law.
8. Right of Refusal and Withdrawal
8.1 The organisers reserve the right to refuse or withdraw accreditation at any time without obligation to provide a reason.
8.2 Accreditation may be withdrawn if information provided is found to be false or misleading.
9. Acceptance
9.1 Submission of an accreditation application constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions in full.
